Self-employed, contracting, or running a business whose tax returns haven't caught up with how it's actually trading — that shouldn't shut you out of finance. Zeus Capital Finance works with lenders who assess ABN holders on reduced documentation, and we sort that out from our base in Dubbo NSW.

Plenty of lenders want two years of returns and nothing else will do, which is no help if you've just started, restructured, or your accountant is still six months behind. Zeus Capital Finance knows which lenders take a broader view and what they'll want to see instead. We're based in Dubbo NSW, and we'll give you a straight answer on whether low doc is the right way to go, or whether you'd be better off waiting until your financials catch up. Apply now and let's work out where you stand.
Got questions? Start here.
It's finance assessed on a reduced set of documents rather than full financial statements. Instead of two years of tax returns, the lender looks at other evidence that the business can comfortably meet the repayments.
Sole traders, contractors, subbies and small business owners — particularly anyone recently self-employed, recently restructured, or whose lodged returns don't reflect current trading. It's a documentation pathway, not a product for people who can't afford the repayments.
It varies by lender, but commonly some combination of bank statements, BAS lodgements, an accountant's declaration, evidence of assets you already own, and a clean repayment history on existing commitments. We'll tell you the specific list once we know which lender suits.
Most lenders want to see an ABN active for a minimum period, and some also want GST registration. The thresholds differ, and a few will consider shorter trading histories where there's a strong asset position or a track record in the same industry beforehand. Worth a call to check rather than assuming you don't qualify.
Lenders price according to the information they have, so a facility approved on reduced documentation is generally structured differently to one supported by full financials. What that means in your case depends on the lender and your circumstances, and you'll see the exact terms in writing before you commit to anything.
We'll say so. Sometimes the better move is waiting for a lodgement to go through, or looking at a different structure entirely. You'll get a straight answer rather than an application pushed through for the sake of it.
